We all want to look younger.

OR is it society that wants us to WANT to look younger?

Hmmm….

It sure makes companies the big bucks if we fear getting older, doesn’t it? And we love to spend the big bucks on creams, potions, lotions, surgery and anything else we can find to try to turn back the clock.  This makes me sad. I want people to embrace and be proud of their age and the wisdom and knowledge they have attained along the way.

Can we love our wrinkles?  Maybe. Someday. I hope so.

So in the meantime (insert sassy laughter here) I have 4 ways to look years younger, that won’t cost you a thing!

The Best Anti-Aging Tips That Don’t Cost a Thing

1. Sleep – Get it. Aim for 7-9 hours per night. Your body repairs itself when you sleep which is why people who sleep well look great. If you’re not getting enough, practice going to bed 10 minutes earlier each week. Soon you’ll be looking younger and feeling better. Sleep is THE most important step to reverse signs of aging. And yep, it’s free!

2. Water – Chug it. Water flushes out the toxins in our bodies and hydrates our skin and cells which gives us that ‘glow’ we all wish to exude. The typical guideline is 2-3 litres per day. I suggest peeking at the colour of you pee, if it’s light like lemonade you’re probably getting enough, if it’s dark, drink more.

3. Laughter – Do it. Often. All day if you can. Laughter is the best medicine as we all know, it reduces stress and tension in the body and releases feel good hormones and emotions, plus it just feels great! The moment my laughter turns into a cackle is a great day in my books. Get in a HABIT of laughing, with friends, alone, at something stupid on YouTube, make it a daily practice, and know it’s helping you look younger, sweet!

4. Love – Live it. Love is a miracle, and not only will it make you look and feel younger, it can change your whole life, and it will, if you let it. Treat yourself with love and respect and those around you with love and respect, be love in every situation. Living your life with love doesn’t mean letting people walk all over you, it means you show love and respect to yourself and others in all situations.

Which step are you going to start with?
